Position:
Production Manager
Full-Time, Seasonal
We seek an enthusiastic and motivated
professional who can oversee all production and technical
aspects of our summer theater season and work closely with the
Artistic Director to create top-notch, successful productions.
Responsibilities include but are
not limited to:
•
Hiring, scheduling, and
supervising Technical Director, Assistant Production Manager,
Production Assistants, and Properties Coordinator as well as
hiring and scheduling Master Electrician.
•
Developing and monitoring
schedules for design submission, production meetings, tech
rehearsals, and dress rehearsals in coordination with designers,
directors, and stage managers.
•
Leading all production meetings
and coordinating communication between artists and appropriate
staff outside of meetings.
•
Troubleshooting during the
production process including assisting in the acquisition of
properties and set pieces.
•
Acting as a liaison between
Artistic Director, General Manager and all production and design
staff.
•
Monitoring production budgets,
approving production expenses and maintaining payroll
information for all production staff.
Qualifications:
Must be well-organized and detail
oriented. Should have background in theater production and
working knowledge of set construction, light design, prop
construction and sound. Must have excellent management and
communication skills, ability to work within tight budget
constraints and flexible approach to working hours. Bachelor’s
degree preferred. Must be proficient in Excel and able to read
and understand technical and architectural drawings. Candidate
must also have a car and valid driver’s license.

Development Coordinator
Part-Time (20-30 hrs/week) Year
Round
We are offering an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic
and motivated professional to help build and increase our
development program.
Responsibilities include but are
not limited to:
•
Working
closely with the Board of Directors on raising funds for the
Capital Campaign
•
Researching, writing and
submitting grant proposals
•
Creating and compiling support
materials for grant proposals including photo documentation
•
Assisting Board of Directors with
securing Corporate Sponsorships
•
Assisting Board of Directors with
planning and managing fundraising events
•
Overseeing Annual Fund Letter
Mailing
•
Attending meetings and workshops
as needed offered by Mass Cultural Council, Boston Foundation
and ArtsBoston
•
Working closely with General
Manager and Artistic Director
Qualifications:
Must be well-organized, detail oriented,
outgoing and have strong writing skills. Significant relevant
professional experience, preferably in the non-profit sector and
Bachelor’s degree preferred. Should be proficient in Word,
Excel, and Photoshop. Candidate must also have a car and valid
driver’s license.
